Basic knowledge of elevator

The elevator is a fixed lifting equipment serving a specified floor. It has a car that runs between at least two rows of rigid guide rails that are vertical or whose inclination angle is less than 15°. The size and structure of the car are convenient for passengers to enter and exit or load and unload goods.

The main engine is the heart that provides power; the control system is the brain that directs actions; the motion system is the limbs that perform actions, etc., through the coordination of these components to ensure the normal operation of the car, the following is the classification of the elevator and the structure of the elevator:

Classified by purpose:

1. Passenger elevator; 2. Freight elevator; 3. Hospital elevator; 4. Home elevator; 6. Sundries elevator; 7. Vehicle elevator; 8. Ship elevator; 9. Sightseeing elevator; 10: Escalator, 11 Moving walk , 12. Elevators for construction, etc.

Classified by operating speed:

1. Ultra-high-speed elevators: 3-10m/s or higher elevators, often used in super high-rise buildings;

2. High-speed elevator: 2～3m/s elevator, such as 2m/s, 2.5m/s, 3m/s, etc.;

3. Fast elevator: elevators >1m/s and <2m/s, such as 1.5m/s, 1.75m/s, etc.;

4. Low-speed elevators: elevators of 1m/s and below, such as 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1m/s, etc.

Classified by drag method:

1. DC elevator: its traction motor is a DC motor, usually a thyristor-motor drive system that uses thyristor to directly supply power; it has excellent performance and fast elevator speed, usually used for high-speed elevators;

2. AC elevator; 3. Hydraulic elevator; 4. Rack and pinion elevator; 5. Screw elevator.

According to the driver operation classification:

1. Elevator with driver; 2. Elevator without driver.

Classified by operation control method:

1. The handle button controls the elevator; 2. The button controls the elevator; 3. The signal controls the elevator; 4. The collective control elevator; 5. The up/down collective control elevator; 6. The parallel control elevator; 7. The group control elevator; 8. Microcomputer controls the elevator.

Classified by machine room location:

1. Upper machine room (the machine room is on the upper part of the top of the hoistway); 2. The lower machine room (the machine room is beside the bottom of the hoistway); 3. No machine room (the machine room is inside the hoistway).
